Saturday, Sunday and Today....
On Saturday, our gathering went well. The guests loved the food that we served them. Home-made beehoon, fried Mee Siam, samosa, epok epok sardines, local and western desserts of Putri Salad and Cheese Cake. We had a barbeque and just as our first group of guests left it started to rain heavily. Luckily the food was all covered and we had just finished our barbeque. We grabbed the food and ran to the apartment. I was rather disappointed as there was a lot of food left and was wondering if our special guest, my doctor, was coming as it was raining heavily that evening. Patricia, our friend who is a housing agent in Penang came just as Giden (hubby colleague who live next to our block), hubby and I were about to start our dinner. Just as the four of us were about to start eating, my doctor came with her twin daughters. I was so glad to see them! We had dinner together and they all left at 9.30pm.
We went to Equatorial Hotel to pick them up and headed to EDEN Seafood Restaurant at Ferringhi. We had a scrumptious dinner and was kindly paid for by hubbycompany.com. heheh.

Fun Time!
After that we went to Coffee Beans to relax, have coffee and let the kids run around. Amirul had his first taste of coffee. His first coffee that cost RM11.00 was Caramel Latte. I have never allowed my kids to drink coffee but this hubby of mine broke the rule that day. Well…he wanted Amirul to experience it. He told Amirul that his next expensive coffee would be from his own pocket money. Hahah.
In the afternoon, I went to the saloon for hair rebonding… I can’t stand my curls. I wanted to trim my hair short and do a rebonding but hubby didn’t allow me to. You can do a rebonding and trim your hair to shoulder length… Period. That what he told me. Aarrghhh... Whatever! Anyway, my butt hurts for sitting 4 hours long . The outcome of my hair rebonding.... ok lah. Not bad. To me at least. Hubby like it too..
In the evening, we went to Ferringhi to collect his pants at the tailor. Unfortunately, they needed to be altered on the waist as hubby has lost a bit of weight on that area. So we will be collecting the pants tonight. Huh! We had our dinner at the same food court as last week and hubby ordered our favourite food!
On Sunday, we went to the clinic to get medication for Azirul and myself before going for our usual brunch. My breast pain is getting very intense lately. I could hardly sleep peacefully. I also had slight sore throat. On the way to the clinic, I suggested going to Telok Bahang Dam to watch the Dragon Boat Race. They were also an International Food Fair there. We decided not to have our brunch at the usual place. After collecting our medicine, we drove up to Telok Bahang and went looking for places to eat. Driving past the kampong, we saw this nice and clean stall. We decided to give it a try.
The foods were delicious. I just don’t know how to describe them. We didn’t regret giving up our usual brunch for this new makan place we found. We will be going up there again before we leave for Singapore. Must! Must! Must! Sorry people... no pictures. As you know, when I see food, I've got no time to take photos.
After a nice brunch, we drove past the Telok Bahang Dam and caught a glimpse of the event. But we must first get our…. DURIAN!!! Its about 3 minutes drive from the dam. Woohhhooo… Did I say I had slight sore throat?? Sore throat aside.. These come first… (drool people... drool....)
On our way back, hubby stopped at Ferringhi beach. Yes, our kids have never got to play near the water. I’m glad they enjoyed themselves immensely. We didn’t stay for too long. It was a very hot day. (nanti hitam anak aku). Hehe
We got home at 1.30pm. Just nice a time to put my baby to sleep. Hubby went out to run some errands and me.... l fell asleep… heheh.. too tired.
This time, we had an early dinner at home. It was a simple dinner. Just porridge, ikan bilis, kacang goreng, ikan cencaru sumbat, fried preserved chai sim, egg omellete, fried veggie and taukwa. Simple right?
After dinner, hubby suggested we go out for a while. Actually I didn’t feel like going out. But dear hubby misses spending time with me, alone. The last time we went out together was last Saturday. Eheh. We went window shopping at Gurney Plaza. In spite of my hesitation to go out earlier, I must say that I enjoy my dearest hubby company. I always do.
Ok people… enough about my weekend.
Here’s a little something to share……
Someone will always be prettier.
Some will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go,
and love you and your circumstances.
Think about it!
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know,
she's got the car, the house, the clothes.... might be lonely.
And the word says, "If I have not Love, I am nothing."
So, again, love you.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,
"I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed, to be disappointed!"
"Winners make things happen--
Losers let things happen."

Saturday n Sunday
We bought roti prata (they call it roti canai here) for the kids and went home for breakfast. We had durian after breakfast and my oh my… it's all worth it. So delicious. So Yummy! No joke! Really! Serious!
We picked Amirul at his school at 12.30pm and took him to MacD for lunch. My maid, Ashraf and Azirul had lunch at home. Later that afternoon, hubby and I went out to spend some quality time together.. heheh.. We came back at 4.30pm. Hubby had to cancel his plan to bring the kids for a swim as it was raining.
Since hubby wanted to go to Batu Feringghi to have his pants tailored, we decided to have dinner there. We left home at 6.00pm and drove to Ferringhi. Unfortunately, the tailor shop was closed. Hubby called the owner and was told to go to their other shop at Park Royal Hotel. We went to the shop at the hotel but the shop assistant was not in. While waiting for her, we brought the kids to the beach.
Amirul and Azirul went on a horse ride. The cost per ride was RM30, which is for a 10 minutes ride only. Well… that’s ok… as long as they enjoyed themselves.
We went back to the shop. Hubby went in, said hi to the shop assistant and told her that he had his pants tailored at the shop last year, hoping that she would recognize him but apparently she could not until I came in…hahaha.. “Ahhh… now I remember you. When I see your wife then only I remember you…Sorry, but I can only recognize your wife! “She exclaimed. “How could she only recognize you?” hubby asked me. “Well…because of your wife sweet smile…heheheh”. I replied.
You know, for 3 pairs of pants, they only cost hubby RM390. So cheap, right? Hubby had his pants tailored in Singapore and they cost him SG150 for 1 pair of pants.
We had dinner at the food centre. Ashraf and Azirul had Fried Rice, my maid had Fried Noodles, Amirul had Sizzling Chicken Noodles, hubby and I had white rice with kangkong belacan, Special Sweet Sour Prawns, Grilled StingRay and for appetizer we had Capati with Cheese. All that plus fruit juices came up to RM65. Burppp… worth it..!
On Sunday, we had our usual Brunch. This time we had our Ikan Terubuk. Then we went to the clinic for my blood test to check my Prolactin level. The result will be out on Thursday. Hmm….. ko ni tak abis abis sakitlah lynn.
We went to Komtar to get the skeleton figure Amirul had to put up together for his school project. I was so tempted to buy shoes there. So nice, so trendy and so cheap! Sabar Lynn sabar….You might be wondering what’s stopping me from buying… Well…being a practical person, I would always think more than twice before buying anything… Where will I be going to with these beautiful high heels shoes? Market? Pasar Malam? Parties? Dinner? How often do I get to wear them? What? When? Where? All kinds of questions were racing in my mind. Hahah… Stupid eh? Whatever!
For dinner, we went to Kapitan to have our favourite Naan with Tandoori Chicken. One of my SIL said that the Naan at Kapitan is the most delicious Naan in the world. She had never tasted anything like that before… ahhahah.. dunno whether true or not but she won’t lie. Even the Naan at Tampines Mall foodcourt is nothing compared to the Naan at Kapitan.
Well… I didn’t take pictures of the food because I was lazy and hungry. Once I saw the food, I kept my digicam and started eating…

Teaching Ashraf
Amirul was teaching Ashraf to read. Somehow, Amirul got carried away and kept repeating the "ha..ha..ha..he..he..he..ho..ho..ho" that made Ashraf bored and angry.
Check it out!

Outing N School Assembly
Last Wednesday, Azirul had a class assembly. The children usually perform a musical drama or sketch for parents at class assembly. They too perform at school concerts. Azirul often get parents’ compliments for his dance. He can really dance! Hahah.. He can shake his butt as if he has no hip bones. I have a video of him but it’s too large to upload here. Anyway, here are the pictures of him and his classmates performing – The Toy Shop. He was a Teddy Bear (in red t-shirt).

Double Celebrations
Like any other Sunday, we had our Brunch at our usual makan place. This time we did not have our favourite ‘Ikan Terubuk’. We had other dishes. After brunch, we went to Gurney Plaza to get cake for our Birthday Boy at Secret Recipes. We bought half of Chocolate Chip Walnut Cake and half of Chocolate Indulgence as most of their other whole cakes were gone by then… to celebrate Mother’s Day. We went home as I was too tired to walk around the mall.
While the boys’ changed to their home clothes, I took the cake out and placed it on the table. I reminded the boys not to get near the table until everyone was ready. I went to the toilet and by the time I came out, this was what happen to the cake…
and the birthday boy….
At about 5.00pm, we took the kids to the Botanic Garden for a short walk and to watch the monkeys there.
(vain mum & dad)
Since it was Mother’s Day; I was given the honor of selecting one of my favourite restaurants (as usual actually)..heh. Well… it would be my favourite place, Nando’s!
My greatest joy on Mother’s Day was actually to see Ashraf wean off his pacifier and he did! It was really difficult to wean him off the pacifier. We’ve tried to wean him off when he was 2 but failed. We tried applying Vicks on the pacifier and tiger-balm (yes, we were mean..heheh) but he would simply wiped it cleaned. He would also give us his sweeettesstt smile to get his pacifier. That did not work until he started throwing tantrum. We relented and gave ourselves and him some time until he is ready.
For the past few weeks, we have been reminding him that on his 3rd birthday, there will be no…PUTING! (Pacifier). We would say…”Ashraf, 3 years old and no….” “No Puting!” He would continued… hahah… So yesterday, while putting him to bed for his usual afternoon nap, I had to ignore his pleads and whining. He tried to “bribe” me with his SWEETEST smile and seeing that does not worked, he started throwing tantrum. All did not work. He got tired and with his eyes half closed he murmured…”no…puting”. Hehe.. He slept without his pacifier.
Last night, he asked for his pacifier before going to bed. We too ignored his pleads. And he slept without his pacifier. However, he woke up about 4-5 times in the middle of the night, crying. I had to console him. I think he is going through 'pacifier withdrawal syndromes'. My poor baby… Sorry baby, but Mama and Daddy have to do this. It's for your own good.

Lizzy McGeli
Last week, my 2.5 yrs old son, Ashraf was telling me something and was pointing at the kitchen but I was not paying attention as I was busy watching tv. So I just nodded my head and said yes, ok. hehehe.. I thought he was pointing at my maid's hairband on the floor. So I told him to give it back to my maid. He then went to the kitchen, dunno what he did and to the living, took a piece of tissue and handed it to me. I asked him what was the tissue for. He said,"mama, zard." I went to the kitchen and saw a dead lizard with isi perut terkeluar, lidah terjuntai... he stepped on that poor lizzy mcgeli!!! makkk geliiiii...
Last night I saw a baby lizard in the kitchen. Ashraf got excited. I told my maid to kill it before Ashraf step on it again!

Penang Hill
About 5 minutes in the Bird Park, Ashraf got an insect bite on his left cheek. Forgot to apply insect repellant on him.
Photos at Penang Hill..
Bottom of the hill.
Top of the hill.
Here... you can see Penang Bridge.
Found a millipede... as big as my hubby's thumb and about 20cm long... eekksss
When we looked up, we saw big spiders on the trees just above our head. About 10 or more. Double eekksss..
Going down and home....
The happy but tired faces of my princes.
Brought him to doctor as the swelling has spread to his eye. Well... doctor confirmed nothing serious as he has no fever but advised to monitor his condition. Rather cranky today... my poor baby.
