What I got For Christmas?

I got nothing for Christmas. But I got beautiful gifts from my loved ones for my birthday! Alhamdulillah. I am oh so contented!

HB sent me to CITISPA for a SPA treatment.HB and kids left me there and went home. I was so not ready for it. But I had a good relaxing Aromatherapy Sauna, body scrub and massage. After which, I went for a retail therapy... lolz. Bought gift for BIL and cake for Sunday family makan2 at home.

Took a cab home and was greeted with balloons, streamers and delicious take-away food from Royals. Darling hb gave me a bouquet of flowers and other gifts (see pics).
Thank you so much dearest. Even without all those surprise mini party and gifts I still love you and the kids oh so much!

We celebrated our two darling boys' birthdays on Saturday and Sunday.
My side of the family came on Saturday and hb's came on Sunday. It was a small families gathering but the kids sure love the gifts and the company.

Celebrating Ashraf & Aaron's Birthday

Hb's side of the family will be coming for brunch.
Last two weeks' brunch was at our home and this week was supposed to be at my SIL place. Since we are celebrating the two babies' birthday we decided to hold the brunch at our place.
And this time... just like 2 weeks ago, the menu is Kampung style.
My FIL had missed our brunch last 2 weeks and hinted to us. He loves the kampung dishes that we prepare so tak nak kasi dia kempunan... its gonna be a masakan kampung again....

Celebrating Ashraf & Aaron's Birthday

My two babies will be celebrating their birthday earlier as Daddy will be away on their birthday.

On this date, my side of the family will be coming. I am preparing Masakan Kampung.....ala Penang.

Yusheng Day!

We didnt host the family usual Sunday brunch at our place yesterday as my SIL invited all of us for a CNY lunch at her place on Saturday. FIL picked us up at 1pm and we headed to Elias Park Condominium. SIL and BIL cooked scrumptious Chinese food. We just we brought our empty stomachs and birthday cake for Azirul. For the first time in my life I actually ate DUCK! We also had spinach with abalone and pacific clam soup. MasyaAllah.. it was so yummy!

BIL said that for Chinese New Year, we will have lunch at my 2nd SIL place. For Hari Raya Aidilfitri, at my 3rd SIL place and for Hari Raya Haji at my 1st SIL place.... and.... every SUNDAY brunch at my place!!!! What???!! Not fair! :P

All the kids got their hongbaos but Azirul collected more hongbaos for his birthday present. We left at 3pm and headed home to rest.

At 5.00pm, Hb, Azirul and I went to Eastpoint to get Yusheng from Han's River. We too bought Chicken Rice from Banquet *wink to shaikha*

We went home and had our LoHei. It was nice but we accidentally poured to much plum sauce it was a little bit sour. The salmon was fresh but it still cannot beat the Yusheng we had in Penang... slurrppp...

Double Celebrations

How was your Mother’s Day Celebration yesterday? I hope you enjoyed yourselves. For me this year is a rather quiet Mother’s Day because we were paying more attention to Ashraf. It was his birthday yesterday so attentions were focused on him. Sob… sob… heheh.

Like any other Sunday, we had our Brunch at our usual makan place. This time we did not have our favourite ‘Ikan Terubuk’. We had other dishes. After brunch, we went to Gurney Plaza to get cake for our Birthday Boy at Secret Recipes. We bought half of Chocolate Chip Walnut Cake and half of Chocolate Indulgence as most of their other whole cakes were gone by then… to celebrate Mother’s Day. We went home as I was too tired to walk around the mall.

While the boys’ changed to their home clothes, I took the cake out and placed it on the table. I reminded the boys not to get near the table until everyone was ready. I went to the toilet and by the time I came out, this was what happen to the cake…

He simply could not contain himself looking at the delicious, mouth-watering cake!! Anyway the simple celebration went well….

At about 5.00pm, we took the kids to the Botanic Garden for a short walk and to watch the monkeys there.

Since it was Mother’s Day; I was given the honor of selecting one of my favourite restaurants (as usual actually)..heh. Well… it would be my favourite place, Nando’s!

My greatest joy on Mother’s Day was actually to see Ashraf wean off his pacifier and he did! It was really difficult to wean him off the pacifier. We’ve tried to wean him off when he was 2 but failed. We tried applying Vicks on the pacifier and tiger-balm (yes, we were mean..heheh) but he would simply wiped it cleaned. He would also give us his sweeettesstt smile to get his pacifier. That did not work until he started throwing tantrum. We relented and gave ourselves and him some time until he is ready.

For the past few weeks, we have been reminding him that on his 3rd birthday, there will be no…PUTING! (Pacifier). We would say…”Ashraf, 3 years old and no….” “No Puting!” He would continued… hahah… So yesterday, while putting him to bed for his usual afternoon nap, I had to ignore his pleads and whining. He tried to “bribe” me with his SWEETEST smile and seeing that does not worked, he started throwing tantrum. All did not work. He got tired and with his eyes half closed he murmured…”no…puting”. Hehe.. He slept without his pacifier.

Last night, he asked for his pacifier before going to bed. We too ignored his pleads. And he slept without his pacifier. However, he woke up about 4-5 times in the middle of the night, crying. I had to console him. I think he is going through 'pacifier withdrawal syndromes'. My poor baby… Sorry baby, but Mama and Daddy have to do this. It's for your own good.
