Fun Time!
After that we went to Coffee Beans to relax, have coffee and let the kids run around. Amirul had his first taste of coffee. His first coffee that cost RM11.00 was Caramel Latte. I have never allowed my kids to drink coffee but this hubby of mine broke the rule that day. Well…he wanted Amirul to experience it. He told Amirul that his next expensive coffee would be from his own pocket money. Hahah.
In the afternoon, I went to the saloon for hair rebonding… I can’t stand my curls. I wanted to trim my hair short and do a rebonding but hubby didn’t allow me to. You can do a rebonding and trim your hair to shoulder length… Period. That what he told me. Aarrghhh... Whatever! Anyway, my butt hurts for sitting 4 hours long . The outcome of my hair rebonding.... ok lah. Not bad. To me at least. Hubby like it too..
In the evening, we went to Ferringhi to collect his pants at the tailor. Unfortunately, they needed to be altered on the waist as hubby has lost a bit of weight on that area. So we will be collecting the pants tonight. Huh! We had our dinner at the same food court as last week and hubby ordered our favourite food!
On Sunday, we went to the clinic to get medication for Azirul and myself before going for our usual brunch. My breast pain is getting very intense lately. I could hardly sleep peacefully. I also had slight sore throat. On the way to the clinic, I suggested going to Telok Bahang Dam to watch the Dragon Boat Race. They were also an International Food Fair there. We decided not to have our brunch at the usual place. After collecting our medicine, we drove up to Telok Bahang and went looking for places to eat. Driving past the kampong, we saw this nice and clean stall. We decided to give it a try.
The foods were delicious. I just don’t know how to describe them. We didn’t regret giving up our usual brunch for this new makan place we found. We will be going up there again before we leave for Singapore. Must! Must! Must! Sorry people... no pictures. As you know, when I see food, I've got no time to take photos.
After a nice brunch, we drove past the Telok Bahang Dam and caught a glimpse of the event. But we must first get our…. DURIAN!!! Its about 3 minutes drive from the dam. Woohhhooo… Did I say I had slight sore throat?? Sore throat aside.. These come first… (drool people... drool....)
On our way back, hubby stopped at Ferringhi beach. Yes, our kids have never got to play near the water. I’m glad they enjoyed themselves immensely. We didn’t stay for too long. It was a very hot day. (nanti hitam anak aku). Hehe
We got home at 1.30pm. Just nice a time to put my baby to sleep. Hubby went out to run some errands and me.... l fell asleep… heheh.. too tired.
This time, we had an early dinner at home. It was a simple dinner. Just porridge, ikan bilis, kacang goreng, ikan cencaru sumbat, fried preserved chai sim, egg omellete, fried veggie and taukwa. Simple right?
After dinner, hubby suggested we go out for a while. Actually I didn’t feel like going out. But dear hubby misses spending time with me, alone. The last time we went out together was last Saturday. Eheh. We went window shopping at Gurney Plaza. In spite of my hesitation to go out earlier, I must say that I enjoy my dearest hubby company. I always do.
Ok people… enough about my weekend.
Here’s a little something to share……
Someone will always be prettier.
Some will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go,
and love you and your circumstances.
Think about it!
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know,
she's got the car, the house, the clothes.... might be lonely.
And the word says, "If I have not Love, I am nothing."
So, again, love you.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,
"I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed, to be disappointed!"
"Winners make things happen--
Losers let things happen."

Sunday Brunch
Ok. As promised, here is the picture of the food on our table.
Here, there is no such thing as Ikan Terubuk season. They always have Ikan Terubuk every Sunday.
Whenever we have our family visiting us here, we always tell them to stay until Monday (the longer the better) and not to leave on Sunday itself as this is something they should not miss. And after brunch, they told us that "It's worth waiting for!" hahah...

I wanna go home!
Like my sister Linda said, Food in Penang is like in Heaven. Yeah rite! As if you have been to heaven. Well...I can say that it's a food paradise but I prefers Home-Cooked-Food. That means my mum's, my mother-in-law's and my aunties' cooking. yummy! Eh! Masakan mak kan sedap. Mak siapa yg masak tak sedap huh?
But when we go back to SG kan, me and dearest beloved hubby would miss :-
1) Durian - Balik Pulau is our favourite hangout during the durian May/June season. Eating durian under the shed, surrounded with durian trees... ahhhh.. That is Heaven!
3) The beautiful scenery from our condo. Serene atmosphere, calming sea-view - we didnt get to see the tsunami when it hit Penang thats why. Can see the Cruise ships passing by. Eagles and swallows flying in the evening....ahhhh so lovely...
4) The stressful and irritating traffic jam. kuang kuang kuang....
5) Our next door neighbour fighting and yelling at each other...some marital problem i think. Cannot make out what they were always shouting or screaming about cause its in Hokkien. Darn! hheheh.. Concerned neighbour lah...
6) Kids school asking for money! Money for concert, for video, for easter day celebration, for excursion - up to RM500??!!! and that is to Langkawi! huh! To watch my son perform at the school concert, I have to pay RM25 per person. What did my son get from that?? An ice-lolly! Nice! An additional marks for his exam?? No! And if I want to buy the video, that is RM70! Great!
7) Our monthly groceries shopping... we have a choice of Giant, Tesco, Carrefour or in case of emergency... Cold Storage.
8) Our condo swimming pool. In Sg, HDB tak ada swimming pool lah dehhh!
9) Rain! Cause when it's going to rain, we could actually see the clouds folding... moving fast and the skies get dark.... ohhhhhhh and when the wind starts to blow, its like those movies you watch, the sound of the wind howling...uuuuuhhhhhh... ahahhaha... and I'll be the one shivering. Scared the balcony glass door collapse cause of the strong wind.
10) Driving up to Batu Ferringhi... Scenery is beautiful!!
I don't drive in Penang. I can drive but I do not want to. There are so many "courteous" drivers here. I also try not to cross the roads here cause the roads are very "pedestrian friendly". Even when the "GreenMan" appears, I would make sure no cars beat the redlight. And zebra-crossing... huh, you have to wait for the zebra to cross, only then these cars would stop.
Despite having this strong urge to go back to Sg, I would miss Penang. At times, whenever my sisters complained to me about problems at home (which family have no problem??), I just don't feel like coming back home... the further the better... peace! ahaha.. But I can't run away for very long. Being the eldest sister, back home, any problem, all my siblings will turned their face to me. HUH! Me again! Yeah! Because you are the only talkative, busybody, problem-solver and peace-maker at home mahh... ishhhh
