Here are my conversations with Ashraf which took place last week.
1) On the way home from school, we were waiting for the lift when an Indian construction worker came out from the lift.
Ashraf - Mama, where is that man going?
Me - I don't know, Ashraf. (frowning)... I don't care where he wants to go. (pause)...(must tell him not to be busybody)....Is he your uncle?
Ashraf - No.
Me - Is he your brother?
Ashraf - No
Me - Is he your father?
Ashraf - No
Me - then you do not have to bother where he's going? You don't need to know. He is just a stranger. Even if you know him, you don't have to know where he is going.
Ashraf - Mama, why you talked too much?
Me - 
2) Fetched him from his Thinking program class and on the way home, he told me that his classmate could not find his brother, who was supposed to fetch him. He too did not know his home phone number.
Me - hmm..Do you know my handphone number?
Ashraf - No.
Me - Ok... now you must memorise my phone number... its 9325 XXXX...repeat.
Ashraf - 9325 XXXX
Me - again...
This went on for about 10 minutes.
Me - So tell me what is my phone number?
Ashraf - Are you old already? You cannot remember?
Me -

same here... sometimes i use that moment to speak to him in Malay. He ended up asking me if I dont know how to speak in English. ahahhha... anak... anak...

hahahaha... true... must really be careful when talking to them. They use our words against us. That reminds me of how me and hb always tell them that Mama knows everything. There was a few times he asked me about certain things and I answered him... he would say.. you know? you know everything? How you know? and I will say yes, i know everything because I read lots of books. And when I really dont know or dont want to answer him, I'll simply say I dont know... he asked... you dont know? why you dont know? You said you know everything and now you dont know. You never read book???
