Thank you all for your compliments and well-wishes. Hmm.... semua cakap baby cute eh tapi muka mcm Daddy dia je... kalau muka dua bijik macam Mama dia tak cute ke?? hehhe... Anyway tak kisah lah ikut muka Daddy sebab hensem perrrr... ahah...
As Farah had requested, the labour story... well, it was the very funny; to hubby though.
After 35 weeks and 2 days inside me, Aaron Ashfiq is born on 16th May 2007 at 1356hrs at East Shore Hospital. He weighed 2.62kg and considered a borderline premmies. I had contraction on 15th May (Tuesday) since 4am but had tolerated the pain till 8.30am. Told hubby not to go to work and got ready to go to the hospital. My parents-in-laws came to sent Ashraf to school and then send us to East Shore Hospital. I was sent to the normal ward to monitor the contractions as my doctor do not want to induce me at 35 weeks. They injected me with 2 doses of steroid to help strengthen the baby's lungs. Hubby stayed with me till 8pm and as there was still no sign of labour yet, he left. At 12 midnight, my contractions were getting more frequent. Nurses and midwife came to check the frequency and decided to push me to the labour ward. Called hubby at 2.30am and he reached hospital at 3.30am. By 8.45am my contractions were getting irregular and my cervix dilated only at 2cm.
My gynae came at 9.00am and after much persuasion from me (due to the pain on my pubic bone), she broke my waterbag to induce labour. And of course after half hour my contractions were getting stronger. The midwives persuaded me to take Pethadine (dunno if this is the correct spelling). I refused. I was contented with the gas mask. But after 2 hours of pain, I relented. Contractions were getting unbearable at 12 plus and I kept hitting hubby with the gas mask whenever I could not get 'high'. Kept telling him that the stupid thingy was not working well.... poor hubby!
At around 1 pm, I suddenly had the urged to squat down. As I threw the blanket covering me, I told hubby that I wanted to squat and tried to squat on the bed. The midwife quickly calmed me down and prepared me for labour and my gynae came in just in time. The funny part was when one of the midwives told me to 'berak' and at that moment I was stunned. Berak? I don't want to berak here! I want to push this baby out of me and not to berak. If I really berak here, everyone including my hubby with run out! hahahah... Then I heard my gynae shouted "Push! Don't blow! Just Push!" After pushing and pushing plus screaming and shouting, out came Aaron Ashfiq.
Alhamdulillah...everything is over and baby is healthy eventhough he is a premature baby.
Hmmm... aku punya cerita da abis... next one sapa pulak eh?? hahha... To Farah, Mel, Ju, Syazah dan Linda.... I will doakan that you all have an easy labour and smooth delivery. Till then, sabar la menanti....

I have 2 boys celebrating birthdays in February and 2 boys in May. Coincidentally, both Amirul and Azirul (February babies) are born on Friday and both Ashraf and Aaron (May babies) are born on Wednesday.
