Do you want to HELP????

Images of Fara (those who don't know about her...please read here) kept haunting me last night. Somehow I could not get that beautiful child's face off my mind. It comes with the before and after ops look and it makes me so sad. I know, those of you who have read about her must have felt sad too.

I kept thinking about how am I going to help her. And I have decided. It will involve my new online shop - LYNDY SHOPPE. I spoke to hb and he supports my intention.

Lyndy Shoppe will be doing a Funding For Fara Project (FFFP).

Before I tell you of my plan I must make this clear.....

Firstly I have NO Intention of making money from other people's plight. Secondly, I am doing this for Fara, in the name of Allah, and not for name, glamour and what nots.
Thirdly, I want to HELP and it would be a community work...friends and contacts, HELP me to HELP her.
Last but not least, I am going to be transparent when managing this project to avoid any misunderstanding or problem.

Ok... here's the plan.

With immediate effect, for every $10 you spent at LYNDY SHOPPE, $1 will go to FFFP. So the more you spent the more Fara will get from FFFP. This project will be effective from today till 15th April 2008.

I am targeting above $500. I will try my best to source for more items to sell and improve on my marketing skills..:)

What I will do is....
I will update any purchase made on this site.
The total amount received will be updated daily.
By 16th April I will update all of you on the total amount received for the period.
I will remit the funds to Fara's parents' account via Western Union. I will absorb the remittance charges.
A copy of the remittance slip will be posted on this site as a proof of delivery.

Please! Let's help Fara Nafisa Sahra get well again. Look at this face...

and now......

Would you help her?

** If you have any ideas, suggestions or questions regarding the project, please PM me. Thank you

A child in pain.... she needs help

I received an email from a good friend about half an hour ago about a little girl name Fara Nafisa Sahra who is very sick and who needs funding for her treatment.

God knows how sad I feel when I saw her pictures. Tears flowing and it breaks my heart to see such a small fragile girl have to suffer so much. I am a mother of 4 kids and I would never want anything to happen to my kids. Never want to see any of my kids to even fall sick and looking at her.... I know how hard it is for her parents to see her like that.

Just to be sure it's not a scam, I emailed Ms Sisca asking for the hospital address and of my intention to help. I just received her reply and she also included her multiply site where she updates about Fara progress - http://siscagafri.multiply.com/. She also included the hospital address where Fara is admitted now.

I have attached a file - you can view more of her pictures here.

Friends, let us pray for Fara Nafisa Sahra. May Allah cure her sickness and may she be healthy like she was.

As for my intention to help her....I will keep you updated on what my plan is.... which will involve all of you!

Sama-sama kita berusaha membantu anak kecil yg tidak berdosa itu... InsyaAllah

A Must Read! Funny!

This is funny!

Overview: I had to take my son's lizard to the vet.

Here's what happened:

Just after dinner one night, my son came up to tell me there was "something wrong" with one of the two lizards he holds prisoner in his room.

"He's just lying there looking sick," he told me. "I'm serious, Dad.  Can you help?"

I put my best lizard-healer expression on my face and followed him into his bedroom. One of the little lizards was indeed lying on his back, looking stressed. I immediately knew what to do.

"Honey," I called, "come look at t! he lizard!"

"Oh, my gosh!" my wife exclaimed. "She's having babies."

"What?" my son demanded. "But their names are Bert and Ernie, Mom!"

I was equally outraged.

"Hey, how can that be? I thought we said we didn't want them to reproduce," I said accusingly to my wife.

"Well, what do you want me to do, post a sign in their cage?" she inquired (I think she actually said this sarcastically!).

"No, but you were supposed to get two boys!" I reminded her, (in my most loving, calm, sweet voice, while gritting my teeth).

"Yeah, Bert and Ernie!" my son agreed.

"Well, it's just a little hard to tell on some guys, you know," she informed me (Again with the sarcasm!).

By now the rest of the family had gathered to see what was going on.  I shrugged, deciding to make the best of it.

"Kids, this is going to be a wondrous experience," I announced "We're about to witness the miracle of birth."

"Oh, gross!" they shrieked

"Well, isn't THAT just great? What are we going to do with a litter of tiny little lizard babies?" my wife wanted to know.

We peered at the patient. After much struggling, what looked like a tiny foot would appear briefly, vanishing a scant second later.

"We don't appear to be making much progress," I noted.

"It's breech," my wife whispered, horrified.

"Do something, Dad !" my son urged.

"Okay, okay." Squeamishly, I reached in and grabbed the foot when it next appeared, giving it a gentle tug. It disappeared. I tried several more times with the same results.
"Should I call 911?" my eldest daughter wanted to know.

"Maybe they could talk us through the trauma." (You see a pattern here with the females in my house?)

"Let's get Ernie to the vet," I said grimly. We drove to the vet with my son holding the cage in his lap.

"Breathe, Ernie, breathe," he urged.

"I don't think lizards do Lamaze," his mother noted to him.  (Women can be so cruel to their own young I mean what she does to me is one thing, but this boy is of her womb, for God's sake.).

The vet took Ernie back to the examining room and peered at the little animal through a magnifying glass.

"What do you think, Doc, a C-section?" I suggested scientifically..

"Oh, very interesting," he murmured. "Mr. and Mrs. Cameron, may I speak to you privately for a moment?"

I gulped, nodding for my son to step outside..

"Is Ernie going to be okay?" my wife asked.

"Oh, perfectly," the vet assured us. "This lizard is not in labor. In fact, that isn't EVER going to happen. . . Ernie is a boy. You see, Ernie is a young male. And occasionally, as they come into maturity, like most male species, they um . . um . . . masturbate. Just the way he did, lying on his back." He blushed, glancing at my wife.

We were silent, absorbing this.

"So, Ernie's just . just . ... . excited," my wife offered.

"Exactly," the vet replied, relieved that we understood.

More silence. Then my vicious, cruel wife started to giggle. And giggle. And then even laugh loudly.

"What's so funny?" I demanded, knowing, but not believing that the woman I married would commit the upcoming affront to my flawless manliness.

Tears were now running down her face. "It's ust .that . . I'm picturing you pulling on its . . its. . . teeny little . . " She gasped for more air to bellow in laughter once more.

"That's enough," I warned. We thanked the vet and hurriedly bundled the lizard and our son back into the car.. He was glad everything was going to be okay.

"I know Ernie's really thankful for what you did, Dad," he told me.

"Oh, you have NO idea," my wife agreed, collapsing with laughter.

Two lizards: $140.

One cage: $50.

Trip to the vet: $30.

Memory of your husband pulling on a lizard's winkie:

Priceless!

Moral of the! story: Pay attention in biology class.

Marah marah sayang!

I was in a 'merajuk mode' last two days and whenever hb talked to me I would only answer one or two words. Well.... sedangkan lidah lagi tergigit....It was actually because of a trivial problem but I just wanted to keep to myself for a while so most of the time I would be in the computer room while hb with kids.

Every morning before leaving for office, I would sent him to the door and he would hug and kiss me and the kids. But yesterday, I didnt hugged him back when he hugged me nor did I kissed him.

As usual, I would call him at 5.30pm to check if he would be leaving office. But not yesterday. Plus I was busy with the kids - school holiday hokay! So anyway, I did called him at 7.45pm and he was on the way home already. I called him pasal I rindu... Da tak merajuk lagi.

I received him at the door with Aaron in my arms. He came in and kissed Aaron and then turned to kiss my forehead and cheeks... this time longer than the usual pecks and said.."I'm sorry. I dont know what I did or say but I'm really sorry. I just want you to talk to me.." and then he gave me this......

HMmmm... nak ketawa pun ada.... nak marah pun ada....

I know he never like me not talking to him the way I always did. When I sulked I would not laugh at his jokes or smile at him)..... he simply gets jittery. Not that I love doing it but sometimes I just need some time alone to keep my cool. So I wanted to laugh when I saw how pitiful he was last night... but I just smiled. Control la sikit.

Memang marah sikit lah.... cause its kind of like he was wasting money on that thing... I actually had wanted something like that but not from OSIM (from those Mail Order ads that you see on tv....dunno what they call it) and you can get them at OG or BHG plus its cheaper. He said...for my wife, price aint matter and I want the best for her. So nak marah pun jadi tak marah.

Whatever it is... Thank you so much dearest darling! I always love you no matter what...

The New Pet

Amirul's Birthday Gift.... a RoboRaptor

Say "MacDonalds" in one breath....

We went to hb's company Dinner and Dance on 22 Feb at Fort Canning Centre. We only took Azirul and Ashraf with us as Amirul had a choir performance at Victoria Theatre. The kids had a good time watching magic shows and played games. For the first time in hb's working life.... he won a lucky draw.... a $50 Takashimaya's shopping Voucher and this is the first time we go as a family...so I told him that next DnD, he must bring me.... "His lucky charm".. ahem...
Anyway, watch this video... Ashraf saying "Macdonalds" in one breath... it was funny....of course he didnt win...
