My Darling Boys!

I love them so so much!!!! Mucho Mucho...

I've Been BZZZZZ

First and foremost I would like to congratulate my 2 friends; Linda (MassyMas) and Juriah (Jula76) on the birth of their babies. Ladies, enjoy your babies and rest well.

2nd, I have been so busy that I've not even the time to reply to any of the messages. My apologies.

I am rushing to complete my Project N which is due on 10th September. I've been cracking my brain in getting this program works with our plans. I've not been getting enough support from the owner of the script and that makes me very the kancheong!!! plus I am getting very impatient with him that I sent him email almost everyday... grrrrr!!!

Taking a break from my Project N (I have to rest my eyes ;-)) I have been doing this....

Kek Kukus Leen - From Diana's Blogspot

I had nicely decorated the cake with prunes before baking...  Somehow when I took it out from the steamer... all the prunes sunk... Not sure what will make the prunes stay at the top huh...Then I baked this....

Kek Zebra - from Diana blogspot.
I like baking it cause its so easy... to me at least. Then I baked this....

from Kek Zebra recipe... I made into cupcakes...
The boys love it, my nieces love it... I love it...hubby? ahh needless to say.. .he love to eat anything I bake or make or cook...heheh

So why these baking craze suddenly you may ask.... that's because my dearest sister-in-law's school has some sort of a charity event and you can take as much margarine you want and donate any amount you want. She knows I love to bake so she gave me like more than a dozen of margarine... ahhh... so here I am baking happily. Now my fridge is full of margarine.

At least there's something to keep me away from my computer for a bit. If not I'll be glued here for hours. Until my Ashraf got so fed up one day and told me off... Mama, you everyday at computer! computer! computer (full of expressions!!)! Ewahhhhhh. I said I had to work. Why you work? Daddy is working. You don't work. Only daddy work. hmm... da pandai mengomel pulak budak ni..!!!

Ok ppl, I've got to start work again.

p.s... my fingers are typing, my leg is rocking Aaron's bouncer - putting him to sleep... We women are good at multi-tasking ehhh...Men just don't get it!!!

Today....

Aaron is 3 mths today. Brought him to KKH for his medical appointment this morning. He is 7kg and 59cm tall.

I don't know what is wrong with him. He was ok this morning but when we were at the clinic, he was so cranky. He was never like that. Maybe want to tell the whole world its his 3rd mth today..hehe

Anyway, doctor asked me about his milk intake. Well.... he is drinking like 220ml every 1hr or 1.5 hours. harrr kauuuu.. He opened his mouth big big arrr.... Seriously he drinks that much. Doc told me to reduce his milk intake. You tell me how? We've tried giving him pacifier after his 125ml feeds but he spit it out. He refused to suck. At times we forced him to suck his pacifier by holding the pacifier on his mouth. He would try to spit it and will 'pretend' to suck but spit it out again when we stop holding it. He will wait for me to give him his 2nd feeds. And when I said wait, he waited patiently. However hard we try to put him to sleep, he just won’t. Until we give him his milk then only will he sleep.

Doc said that by right, Aaron is considered 2.5mths (as he is a premature baby) and his milk intake should at most be 150ml every 3hrs and not 220ml. This of course I know. But there is nothing I can do to stop him from drinking that much. I told him that besides being worried by this over-feeding my baby, we also have to take into consideration the amount of milk cans we have to buy for him. He is on special milk and this milk is $14 for 400gm. He finished the whole tin every 2 days. And not only that, we have a hard time looking for this milk because only Pharmacies have it but most of the time….. out of stock!!!! Expensive is another thing, so difficult to find is another. But frankly, as long as he is drinking well and growing healthily, then I am not worried at all. Heheh….

Doc suggested that I start feeding him cereal at 3.5mths. This is to try reducing his milk intake. Hmm… I don’t understand this theory actually. Whatever it is, because cereal has thicker texture, I hope Aaron’s stomach would be able to take it.

On another note, I am currently working on a project which I will call Project N and it will be launched one week before Ramadhan. I would love to have all my Multiply friends to join me in this new venture of mine. Will keep you all updated on the progress.

My Blur Day

Yesterday was my very the blur day. I was so tired as I had been working on my project which is expected to be ready in 3 weeks time. That had taken away my good night sleep. Besides, my baby is still having his night feeds so that too is one of the reasons I didnt have good rest. But thats ok. Anyway, back to what happened yesterday.

In the morning before hubby leaves for office, I would prepare his breakfast and milk. As usual I went to the kitchen, took his mug, opened the cabinet, looked at the milk tin (was like zombie) and took it out. Scooped 3 full spoons of milk and was about to stir it when I suddenly asked myself, why the milk didnt 'dissolved' like always, instead it look different this morning. Looked at the tin and nearly jumped... it's Aaron's milk! heheeh... I quickly took Aaron's bottle and poured it in. My maid was laughing at me. haizzzz.... Aaron is drinking a special milk for his stomach problem and that is why the milk didnt settled to the bottom of the mug. heheh... blurrrr sotong.

In the late afternoon, Ashraf asked for his milk. As my maid had gone downstairs to fetch Azirul home, I went to the kitchen to make his milk. After that, I went to Aaron (who was lying on his bouncer chair) and gave him the bottle. At the same time, i was thinking, what is wrong with this boy? Take the bottle lah! Why is he not taking the bottle from me? I heard Ashraf's voice... Mama, my milk please.... I had a good laugh at myself. No wonder Aaron was looking at my face as if wondering what was wrong with his mum. Mama very blur arrr....heheh

I had the mood to bake a cake yesterday. So managed to do this.... not baked but steamed Chocolate Cake. My first attempt. Delicious (self-compliment) but a little dry.

 Steamed Chocolate Cake

with chocolate Ganache. So yummy! My boys love it. Just need to improve on its texture. heheh..

Last night, told hubby about my entire blurry day and while eating the cake, he asked me... talking about blur, is this supposed to be a Chocolate cake?  Grrrr... I said No, its suppose to be a Durian Cake but your wife so blur she made chocolate cake instead!!!

Massage Your Baby to Help With Gas or Colic

** a very good tips for us mothers.

Support is on the way for parents of gassy and colicky babies. Instead of feeling helpless, use massage as a tool to support your baby during this difficult time.

Steps

1

Step One

Reduce stimulation for your baby by dimming lights and reducing sounds.
2

Step Two

Help your baby settle down, if upset, with either gentle, rhythmic pats or soft, rhythmic counting.
3

Step Three

Wait at least 30 minutes after your baby has breast-fed or 1 hour after giving a bottle of formula before beginning massage.
4

Step Four

Find a position for you that is comfortable. Be aware of your back.
5

Step Five

Either cradle your baby on a pillow on your lap or position your baby on a towel or blanket in front of you.
6

Step Six

Start the massage slowly with strokes and exercises, paying close attention to the baby's reaction to the touch and movement.
7

Step Seven

Gently fold the baby's knees up to the tummy (as far as is comfortable), hold for 15 to 30 seconds and release. Stroke legs gently.
8

Step Eight

Gently hold both of the baby's feet and move the legs one at a time, bending at the knees as if riding a bicycle for 30 seconds. Stroke the legs gently.
9

Step Nine

Bend the baby's legs at the knees, cross the legs, and rock side to side. Stroke the legs gently.
10

Step Ten

Comfort the baby before, during or after the massage as needed.
11

Step Eleven

Understand that just 5 minutes of massage is a long time for a little baby.

Tips & Warnings

  • Repeat the sequence at least three times, and try to do it twice during the day.
  • Try to relax. Remember to breathe slowly and deeply. Your baby can feel your tension through your hands.
  • It is especially important for parents of babies that are gassy or colicky to consult with the child's health care provider prior to the baby's first massage.

Blue - Best In Me

This is such a cool song...sung by a cool boy band...enjoy!!

pssss.... A song dedicated by hubby to me.

Marc Anthony My Baby You

I so love this song... hubby dedicated this song to me and each time we listen to it, he will tell the boys... this song is for Mama (change the name Arianna though).

We thought that if we have a baby girl, we'll name her Arianna (not that hopeful actually) but we have another boy... had wanted to name him Aryan but decided with Aaron Ashfiq.

Anyway.... enjoy this video.

ooppss... there's another one too... from Blue - Best in Me. will upload

How to choose kiwis & store mangoes

The fuzzy kiwi hides a scintillating green interior. Kiwi's sweet, refreshing taste is a treat any time of year.

Steps

1

Step One

Choose kiwis that smell good and feel plump.
2

Step Two

Avoid kiwis with bruised skin or moist areas.
3

Step Three

Press gently to make sure kiwi yields under your finger like a ripe pear.

Tips & Warnings

  • Kiwis contain an enzyme called actinidin that serves as a meat tenderizer. Use kiwi fruit as a marinade for meats or rub kiwi flesh over meat before cooking.
  • To ripen a kiwi, put it in a paper bag at room temperature, preferably with a banana, apple, or pear. These fruits produce ethylene gas, which accelerates ripening.
  • Store ripe kiwis in the refrigerator.
  • To deactivate the actinidin enzyme, kiwis should be cooked for a brief period before being placed in gelatin or dairy products.

STORE MANGOES
Known as a brightly colored, tasty treat, these tropical fruits are also just moderately high in calories - and a great source of potassium and vitamins A and C.

Steps

1

Step One

Put two mangoes together in a plastic or paper bag to allow them to ripen. One mango by itself will ripen more slowly.
2

Step Two

Keep in a cool place, such as a cupboard.
3

Step Three

Move mangoes to refrigerator when ripe - that is, when mangoes yield slightly to pressure.
4

Step Four

Store no more than two to three days to prevent overripening.

How to Communicate With a Significant Other

Communication can resolve many relationship troubles. Being a good communicator requires a nice balance of listening and knowing how to express your feelings. Here are few things you can do.

Instructions

Steps

1

Step One

Be in the moment. If your significant other wants to talk, then talk. Stop whatever you are doing, or schedule a time when you can both focus on the conversation.
2

Step Two

Be sincere with your words and intent. Speak honestly. Be affirmative and supportive. Respond without being critical of what your significant other has said. Be patient, kind, considerate and speak well of each other. Nothing hinders intimate communication more than harsh words. But don't lie to cover inconvenient truths.
3

Step Three

Separate yourselves from the situation. Don't take things personally. Listen without interrupting. Let your significant other know that you understand what they have said.
4

Step Four

Avoid jumping to conclusions. Ask questions when you don't understand something. Don't immediately fall into a defensive posture.
5

Step Five

Do your best. Communication is an important part of a healthy relationship. Be honest and realize that slight miscommunications are acceptable. Remember that you are on the same team.

Tips & Warnings

  • Stay calm. Anxiety and fear can affect our body language and tone while introducing tension into an already uncomfortable situation.
  • Avoid a defensive posture. A feeling of defensiveness can lead to a preemptive strike of cutting remarks and wounding insults.

How to do little things to keep that spark alive

Sometimes it just takes a little something to spark your own creativity, here's a guide of simple things you can do to ignite that passion. You too can share your good love story with us...

Things You'll Need

  • Passion
  • A little bit of time
  • A little bit of playfulness
  • A little bit of money

Step One

post it note love!

A NOTE A DAY

Buy a pad of sticky notes.Write a couple and keep them on hand and as your better half leaves for the office, slip one in his/her briefcase, shirt pocket or purse.

What to write on the notes? how about:

I can't wait to see you tonight!
I will be thinking about you all day!
As you read this note, I will be preparing myself for you!

The simplest of notes will work wonders and start getting your significant other thinking and daydreaming about you.

Step Two

PETALS...LOTS OF PETALS!

Petals make any woman, (even a man for that matter) go nuts.
Rose petals have forever been a symbol of love and passion, and they ooze a scent that tantalizes your senses.
So if something so simple is so romantic, why not use it?

How?
Here are just a few ways you can use petals...
by the way, florists will sell you bags of them or art supplies stores have a silk version- just as sexy, and reusable! The scent? not a problem -just get a rose spray and spritz it on.

* On top of ceiling fans and turn the fan on as they walk in (on low)

* Bring some to a restaurant and put them on the table

* Inside an envelope with a card or letter

* Floating in a bowl of water - with or without floating candles

* Placed in the book your sweetheart is reading

* Surrounding your mate with petals while he or she is sleeping

* In a crock pot with a little water for a beautiful smell as they walk in, the perfect preamble for a romantic???

Step Three

candles add a romantic touch

CANDLES

When matched up with step 2 (rose petals) you are in for the romantic ride of your life!
There is just something about a candle lit room that sets the atmosphere for romance...so go ahead set a beautiful table, two placemats, matching napkins and all, and bring dinner. But watch the mood lighten, the smile comes, and the night evolves into something special, all it takes is a little something!

Now for those who really want to bring on the romance...try a buying gourmet food from his/her favorite restaurant, or even cooking it yourself, there is no better way to say I love you, that with food.

Tip: get them what they like, in the colors they like...tonight is all about pleasing them, not you!

Step Four
A MASSAGE:

Start out with a full bosy massage, but not the 5 minute (then you are all over them kind) this is the kind that will make them want you, but you grab their arms and keep on massaging, it's all about hightening senses.
Do you dare? Get a simple Body oil (Neutrogena has one that is a light sesame formula, it smells great and warms the body and hands). best of all you can get it anywhere.

By the way, remember the sticky note?
write one in the morning, saying:

Present this tonight at dinner and recieve a full body massage and...!
You will have them drooling all day.

Step Five

romance VI (google images)

DATE NIGHT

The problem with most couple nowadays is the stress tha kids, the inlaws, you name it...it gets in the way of love and romance in a couple.

Some couplesthat truly love and adore each other have a date night, they make it a point to reserve one night a week (not a year!) for each other, and nothing gets in the way of date night. NOTHING!

Get it?

Overall Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you decide that you will do anything for your significant other...anything.
  • Make sure you remember how truly wonderful your life is beacuse of them
  • Don't try everything together on one date. So you overwork, overspend, and them decide not to do anything again for six months!

A kid's view on Marriage

What Exactly Is Marriage?
"Marriage is when you get to keep your girl and don't have to give her back to her parents" -Eric, six years old
"When somebody's been dating for a while, the boy might propose to the girl. He says to her, 'I'll take you for a whole life, or at least until we have kids and get divorced, but you got to do one particular thing for me.' Then she says yes, but she's wondering what the thing is and whether it's naughty or not. She can't wait to find out." -Anita, nine years old

How Does a Person Decide Whom to marry?
"You flip a nickel, and heads means you stay with him and tails means you try the next one." -Kelly, nine years old
"My mother says to look for a man who is kind....That's what I'll do....I'll find somebody who's kinda tall and handsome." -Carolyn, eight years old

Concerning the Proper Age to Get Married
"Once I'm done with kindergarten, I'm going to find me a wife" -Bert, five years old

How Did Your Mom and Dad Meet?
"They were at a dance party at a friend's house. Then they went for a drive, but their car broke down...It was a good thing, because it gave them a chance to find out about their values." -Lottie, nine years old
"My father was doing some strange chores for my mother. They won't tell me what kind." -Jeremy, eight years old

What Do Most People Do on a Date?
"On the first date, they just tell each other lies, and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date." -Martin, ten years old
"Many daters just eat pork chops and french fries and talk about love." -Craig, nine years old

When Is It Okay to Kiss Someone?
"You should never kiss a girl unless you have enough bucks to buy her a ring and her own VCR, 'cause she'll want to have videos of the wedding." -Allan, ten years old
"Never kiss in front of other people. It's a big embarrassing thing if anybody sees you....If nobody sees you, I might be willing to try it with a handsome boy, but just for a few hours." -Kally, nine years old

The Great Debate: Is It Better to Be Single or Married?
"You should ask the people who read Cosmopolitan" -Kirsten, ten years old
"It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need somebody to clean up after them" -Anita, nine years old
"It gives me a headache to think about that stuff. I'm just a kid. I don't need that kind of trouble." -Will, seven years old
